Greetings! I’m Tracy Smith. In my previous life, I was a teacher for over 15 years with a focus on Science. I’ll cherish those memories forever. I love learning new things, and I knew I wanted to return to school, so I began working as an Enterprise Support Technician at Eastern Michigan University. This is when my second calling came to me.
After receiving my Master’s degree in Educational Media and Technology, I moved to Arizona and began working in higher education (University of Phoenix and Arizona State University) doing instructional design/project management/facilitation work. After several years in higher education, I was offered a position at a technology services company to create sales training, and because I love learning, I jumped at the opportunity. I’ve learned so much in my changing career, and all of these roles have provided me with an extensive background in learning pedagogy. With over 10 years of learning design and training experience, my colleagues view me as a resourceful leader, who is creative, organized and collaborative, with the skills and expertise to break down and simplify challenges to determine solutions.
In my free time, I enjoy teaching my puppy new tricks, traveling, art and photography, and working on my first science fiction screenplay.
